3. LUZCID - LOVE

LUZCID - LOVE

LOVE: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/love This week, MalLabel Music his bringing you one of the biggest up and comers in existence delivering a very special single with a message we can all get down to. From Houston, Texas, welcome Luzcid. Skyrocketing through the biggest blogs and Soundcloud's hot follow lists in 2015, last year's collaboration with Bassnectar solidified his status at the top of everybody's radar, but well before that Luzcid has been all over the place in every unclassifiable, hybrid, non- genre you can't think of. Make sense? No? Good, you're on the right page. You want a place to scroll through the most random collection of Bass, Disco, soul and more look no further than his Soundcloud for a completely energized ride through some very random, but amazing music. I know this because I'm a page or so down as I write and fully recommend this journey through the love language of music. As for the track in question, Love... my favorite word and the reason we all do this thing called life in the first place. This particular love comes in the tough variety, opening with some beautiful harps filtering out to rich vocal stabs trippin' around your head. Then the bounce factor gets this hype machine moving up until the wall of bass runs you down like injured prey. This love brings the heat of a thousand burning hearts, start to finish. 7. Laika Beats - Owl Eyez

Laika Beats - Owl Eyez

OWL EYEZ EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/owl-eyes This week MalLabel Music is sweeping in extra low to snatch a fresh kill as Denver, Colorado's, Laika Beats shows us a life on the hunt for innocent ground dwelling creatures while peering through the eyes of one of the most majestic predators. Laika Beats has been breaking down the walls of your standard bass music for a number of years and I have yet to fall short of feelings to express what I hear when I listen to subsequent releases. The words to express those feelings however sometimes eludes even me. With no room in his vision for boxes, he tears them to pieces and uses them for stepping stones on the path of creation. What remains in his wake is a road paved with the broken remains of the synthesizers he's destroyed to create a world of untouched soundscapes and a fat stack of bass riding the harmonies he's created with them. His newest EP, Owl Eyes does Grime with style as the title track opens with a heavy hitting stomp machine following tripped out tonality and vocal cuts. 'Wibble Dribble' then builds an ominous tension before bringing the wobble back in style before 'Hater Blockerz' takes twisted metal and rap through a Trap Machine. 'Purp' then takes the Trap even further with a little extra Grime on top before 'Dreams Collide' finishes off the EP with a high energy, bass fuelled joy ride through some smooth and dreamy atmospheres. This one's for those who like to get real low and play in the dirt real slow. 8. Levitation Jones - Larry

Levitation Jones - Larry

TRANSGENTLEMAN EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/transgentlemen This week MalLabel Music is bringing you yet another full spectrum Bass Music release with an incredibly diverse EP by Rhode Island's, Levitation Jones Stretching his unique form of mercurial and introspective Bass Music across the Eastern US, Levitation Jones has been bending hearts and minds with his ever evolving creativity and style. He often takes weirdo bass to a whole new level of eccentricity with soundscapes straight out of a sci-fi movie riding that bass before coming back and hitting you with the feels. This diversity of emotion and grime has brought him to melt audiences at over 40 shows a year and this latest EP might be the most perfect example of how his innovative visions come into the artistic light. Transgentleman is an appropriate name for an EP that takes us through so many phases of evolution across it's six pieces and even within some of them on their own. The title track gets weird immediately with some tripped out atmospherics and glitchy IDM noise generators before hitting you with a fat wall of bass to kick it off as 'Larry' continues the trip into a land of mischievous creatures and grime. 'Robot Butterfly' chills it out on a ride through the land of sprites and digitalis before 'New Kid' takes a mean interlude to an old school Dubstep vibe. 'See' is a beautiful experiment in IDM reminiscent of the great Aphex Twin while 'Moon Man' carries the vibe home in this epic Vaporbass finale. With so much to get down to in so many ways on this EP, all your crates with thank you for the love. 10. Ives - Vortex

Ives - Vortex

VORTEX EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/vortex MalLabel Music has some of the freshest new Hybrid Glitch out there this week, kickin' it off in 2016 with the debut album from Nashville's, Ives. Potentially 2015's hottest new Glitch/Hip-Hop hybrid artist, Ives is setting his 2016 stage for breakout with an eerie psychedelic collection of bomb originals backed up right with serious remix business. Tunes alone, this is one of the most unique albums I have heard to begin with, but this man gets hella real and in your face, like now. Amidst the message pervading every track, the art of story telling is not lost on him as he creates a whole musical reality representative of the feelings of our enlightened few with some serious breaks and the bass to back it up. Some of the strongest messages of change have pervaded hearts and minds through art and with his debut album, Ives hits the mark. Vortex perfectly describes the vibe within as experienced while moving through the album as it sinks deeper into the ominous atmospheres. The title track also gets a Trap fix by Metapød, while 'Echo' feat. vocals by Mage Tha Blackheart gets sliced and diced thrice with instrumentals by Levitation Jones, SRS BZNZ and Petrified Force. You want a real piece of art, look no further as this marvellous achievement of dystopian present takes you on a world-bending excursion on the reality of our now through thought and sound. 11. MiHKAL - Hornograpy

MiHKAL - Hornograpy

FULL RELEASE: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/drippin MalLabel Music has some big love and heavy hitting bass music for you this week with the newest EP from the bay area's own MiHKAL, featuring a host of fresh remixes from some of Westcoast's finest. 'Music I Have Known And Loved' is the theme driving MiHKAL to to the lengths he has gone to bring us some of the most beautiful mixes for those chill and sexy yet turnt up get togethers and lately he has been killin' it in the production realm as well. After years of listening to his collections of Down-Tempo and Trap favourites I have been blessed in following him from Mashups to made-man. Touring across the US and playing pretty much every major Bass Music festival of note, he's back with the freshest vibes to share with us in his new EP Drippin'. The title track is a ride through the depths on hood rich waves of elevation. Keeping it 100, this psychedelic crest of orchestral atmospherics gets those juices flowing, building tension throughout before the bass leaks all up in it. Accompanying track 'Into the Unknown' gets low and juicy with some vibin' darkness while 'Hornography' is a melodic Trap parade of horn infused shenanigans. Bringing a wave of straight heat with him, MiHKAL has brought some heavy hitting friends along to ride it with a flood of title track remixes. VNDMG changes up the current with a little more energy throughout in his epic reprisal, ChrisB. adds some ebb and flow with an intelligent little Future/Trap number that's sure to win hearts through uplifting synth work and finally Dubvirus & DJEDI got together to turn the tide, leaking mad psychedelia into the depths of an 808 fuelled river of harmonies. This one's for the late nights on festival floors when sleep isn't even close to an option. https://soundcloud.com/mihkal https://www.facebook.com/MusiciHaveKnownAndLoved https://soundcloud.com/mallabelmusic https://www.facebook.com/MalLabel

12. beardthug - Morning Mimosa

beardthug - Morning Mimosa

This week MalLabel Music is stoked to bring you a new EP from a veritable dynamic duo as Providence, Rhode Island's, beardthug shows us how they bring the vibes bangin through the heart and soul of Bass Music with any kind of equipment one could throw at them. Together, beardthug possesses a wealth of experience, musical, and technical knowledge the likes of which most only dream from a combination of lifetimes in musical abstraction. One, a Metal guitarist turned Downtempo producer morphed into an electronic Metal Head, or Bass Music junkie thanks to a Skrillex track and the right kind of liquid at an Alex Grey house party. The other, a technical Electronic gizmo addict since '99, blowing through Sony Acid: Xpress, the Alesis HR-16 drum machine, MPCs, Keyboards, and finally graduating to Ableton Live and never looking back. You Won't Like This, opens to a rising crescendo of manipulated digitalis culminating in a glitched out stomper of slow and impactful bass chops blended effortlessly into the tapestry of broken computerization in 'Morning Mimosa'. Next, 'This Falafel Has Drugs In It' takes a smooth ride through a psychedelic circus of gamified vocal manipulations twisted through menacing bass and timing. Finally, 'Regretamine' featuring JuJu Beats closes off the EP with a creep show of ethereal sweeps, swirling vocal stabs, and tripping fields of crushed basslines. This is music for music's sake. Art not intended to give a crap what you think, and it's all the more awesome and weird for it. Take a seat. You might need it. 14. Shlump - Hydro

Shlump - Hydro

From the heart of California, MalLabel is proud to bring you a fresh and fully original album from one of the leaders in Trap, Shlump. With a constantly updated page of new tracks, eps and free give-aways, Shlump is no slouch. Few artists are as hard working and dedicated to bringing you the newly minted gold you need to keep the dance floor bumping into the wee hours and with a new remix and EP up before I could even finish this writeup, Shlump isn't screwing around. This is definitely one of the artists we'll be keeping an eye on and we know you'll be doin' the same. His background in live music from classical training to live bands becomes apparent pretty quickly with Hydro, as so many of these elements come together over that rich 808 sound. That wide open Trap template doesn't often get as much love as this with a rich interlacing soundscape of organic and synthetic elements that will have your speakers calling all the OGs to the floor. The grooves range from tripped out vibes and ghetto bounce to airy and epic feel good tunes all backed up by that fat Trap bass. Twisted vocals, plenty of glitches and a whole lot o' gettin' down await for you to crack open this healthy box of vibes and lay the hood down on the system. The Widdler & Raquel Divar - 666

666 EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/666 Hot droppin’ the dope shit from the depths of the underworld, MalLabel Music has some fiya lit up by Raquel Divar and The Widdler. Rap Fusion mistress Raquel Divar is always down to spit some intrigue with spaced out lyrics, but this time she’s taking the otherworldly experience in the opposite direction. Down through the earths crust and into the fiery depths of the 7 hells, The Widdler has set the tone with a subtle and airy atmosphere of cave dwelling evils and it is here where you’ll find Raquel laying it down on his ominous monument. Look forward to some doom and gloom with a little extra boom in their new single, 666. Luzcid - Space Decoder

LUZCID EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/space-decoder This week MalLabel Music is taking us on another ride through the digitalis of cyberspace as Houston, Texas', Luzcid rips us through the fabric of space time in his heavy hitting and epic new single, Space Decoder. The jet lag sure doesn't seem to catch up with this man as there just seems to be no stopping him as he sails effortlessly across the Bass Music scene on the wings of his inspirational bassy goods. Dropping bombs on many an unsuspecting dance floor along the way as he glides through the charts on pretty much any blog you can name, MalLabel Music is stoked to pop another one off for the list after the success of February's red hot single, 'Love'. Relying more on the vibe than the genre, Luzcid takes his tracks in directions best left out of the technical classifications lest you be interested in watching your brain explode with the semantics of classifying what could be considered the abstract art of the Electronic Music world. His new single, Space Decoder begins with encrypted messages to the outer world before the crunk of multiple cutting edge bass designs kick the subs into high gear as they dance effortlessly with one another. A hype breakdown and one drop later and the mood shifts into some heavy hitting, glitched out Grime business. This one is fire through and through. illanthropy - Elephant Party Feat. Wiz0

SYMBIOTIC EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/symbiotic This week MalLabel Music is bringing you some legit Glitch-Hop banging out ya speakers like back in the day! This pair of dancefloor slayers brought to you by some serious rising talent from Asheville, NC. Welcome illanthropy to the MalFam. This conscious warrior of the light may spend his time weaving threads of positive living and inspiration into his music and lifestyle, but that doesn’t keep him from getting dank with the dark beats as he breaks down the fabric of reality with his new EP ‘Symbiotic’ and it’s two mind bending gems. The title track seems peaceful at first until the broken, detuned carnival of sound mangling takes us to a fat drop with the kind of bass that made Glitch great. It’s companion, ‘Elephant Party’ which features his homie Wiz0, takes some of that carnival vibe on an epic Crash-Dnb spin up the roller coaster and straight down to a sick old school drop reminiscent of the great Bassnectar. Remember the glory days of Glitch-Hop? Well with this EP you don’t have to, ‘cause it’s right here. 18. The Widdler - Gitfukt

The Widdler - Gitfukt

The Widdler is a leading figure in what has been deemed the "Deep Dub Renaissance." Born in Tel Aviv and now living in Austin, The Widdler has been playing and producing music since he was 10. He has shared stages with contemporaries such as Beats Antique, GJones, Rakim, and Tipper. His organic, melodic, tribal and otherworldly sounds are challenging the paradigm in the dub step community. Avoiding stereotypical dubstep drops, The Widdler opts instead for crescendos that soothe and invigorating drops leave you feeling cleansed. Channelling a shamanic approach to bass dub fusion, "Ogo" melds sounds from both past and future; communicating with wobbly booms and sparkling arpeggios what could be an audio essay on evolution. Vibes on this EP range from a minimal, almost bubbly interpretation of dubs in tracks like Space Balloon and Lobster Trap, to spooky beats that slither and sink deep in the title track Ogo. Rorschack & Mark Eliyahu - Rain ft. Lila Rose

RAIN EP: https://mallabelmusic.bandcamp.com/album/rain MalLabel music has an absolutely stunning collaboration for you this week with a fantastic piece from Rorschack and Mark Eliyahu featuring vocals by Lila Rose. Born and raised in Israel before traveling the world to end up in California’s Electronic Music scene, Rorschack brings a world aesthetic to the table with a little West Coast flavor. This collaboration happens to be with another Israelite and multiple award winning composer, Mark Eliyahu and his mastery of rare instrumentation. The duo manifests the perfect balance of majesty for Oakland’s Lila Rose to root her familiar blend of gentle story telling and haunting strains deep within the soul. The track itself features interludes of violin among sweeping atmospheric tones over a West Coast 808 vibe shepherding Lila’s dynamic intonations to perfection.
